This is the first time I have used Wordle. I LOVE this application and I am excited to use it with my students. I can see so many uses for this application.
I think that I can use Wordle with students that have difficulties with writing. Wordle would help keep things interesting and motivate students more than paper and pencil actitivies. One of its greatest uses for me will be as an assessment for and of learning. I can see asking students to use Wordle to display knowledge on a current topic or theme. At a glance I will be able to see students background knowledge or learned knowledge on a topic.
I really like this idea (I may steal it!). I can see the benefit of Wordle as a form of assessment- ask them to create a Wordle before beginning a unit and then asking them to complete one at the end and then discussing the changes/differences/additions between the two.
I was happy to discover Wordle too. What uses of it do you envision for your classroom?
